React Foundation
A shared foundation, with room to grow.
During my time at SkyIT, I worked on several public-sector web applications. Their purposes differed, but many of their technical needs were shared. Starting with a minimal React template based on Kit Italia, I designed and developed a reusable React/Redux foundation: a base for building new services while leaving each application room for its own terminology and features.
Different applications, a shared foundation
Albo Richiami supports the creation and management of vehicle and equipment recall campaigns. Alongside the management interface, a public section on the Portale dell’Automobilista allows people to consult campaigns published by manufacturers.
Piattaforma CQC supports the management and delivery of training courses for the Carta di Qualificazione del Conducente, the Italian driver qualification card, through the ministry’s IT services. Here, the shared foundation supports an application centred on a training and administrative process.
Omologazioni supports manufacturers and officials at vehicle testing centres in submitting and managing type-approval and transposition applications. The frontend brings the stages of that process into an interface with different needs from training courses or recall campaigns.
Libretto Metrologico allows manufacturers and workshops to enter metrological logbooks, while authorised technicians can plan and record annual inspections and maintenance information. The interface supports ongoing activities, keeping the logbook’s data organised over time.
Pagamento Turni e Missioni supports payment processes for sessions charged to professional operators and reporting for sessions charged to ministry users. It is another administrative context in which the frontend infrastructure can be reused while keeping the service’s rules and operations specific.
Architecture that helps people build
The foundation’s value becomes clear in everyday work: a recognisable structure makes it easier to move between projects, share decisions and support people joining the team. Consistency applies to common mechanisms; product decisions remain tied to the service being built.
This experience broadened how I think about architecture. Writing reusable code also means making it understandable and giving others the tools to work independently. I bring the same attention to mobile development and technical leadership.
